What's On

We're getting together submissions to be printed and sent out into the world at the Ottawa Small Press Book Fair June 12th. If you have a short story, a chapter, an essay, a collection of poems, a rant, a thought, or anything else you'd like to see in chapbook print, please send it along to the address below (and let us know if what you've sent is the final version or if you'd like some editorial feedback . . .) and we'll put it on the table! Any style. Be yourself.

March 21st 2004:  The Owl launched in style at Swizzles. The show was a huge success, in our eyes (i.e., we got a couple of people up on the mike who had never done this kind of thing before. . . and we got a few veterans up there to join them!). Some pictures (taken by our resident photog Catherine MacDonald-Zytveld) are up - the gallery may be expanded in future.

April 18th 2004: Lou Reeves read for a small but engaged audience; the Slam Sisters proved that old traditions like writing your poetry on the spot die hard.

May 16th:

Kane Faucher returned to the Dusty Owl mike! A full-on performance highlighted by about twenty minutes of a self-confessed "atrocious Parisian accent" sparked laughter and appaluse. Also - the first Dusty Owl appearance of The Platonics, and some good-natured mockery of the Author As A Young Dog. . . pictures to come.
